Route Description
Events on this course begin from the Prospect Park start pens, traveling CCW in the park and completing almost a full lap before turning right to enter Grand Army Plaza and begin heading toward Manhattan.
Descend Flatbush Avenue, then enter the subway and hit the 5-second Power Segment before climbing out and riding across the Manhattan Bridge, which has a sprint of its own. Then descend the other side and enter your next subway, the City Hall Station, which hosts 10-second Power Segments in both directions.
Nearing the route turnaround point, you’ll climb out of the subway and onto Times Square’s glass roads for what is almost a full lap of the reverse circuit. (You just miss a bit of the start, which means you can’t compete for the orange leader’s jersey!)
Now it’s time to head back the way we came. Through City Hall Station for another Power Segment, then across the East River (via the Brooklyn Bridge this time) and into your last subway for your longest Power Segment on the day (20 seconds) before climbing up Flatbush and finishing out that Prospect Park lap. You did it!
