Coastal Crown Loop

Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!

This route begins from the coastal start pens if you’re in an event, or just before the Acropolis Sprint banner when free riding. Either way, you’ll have a substantial lead-in to the loop’s start/finish point, which is the Mayan Mountainside KOM banner.

Your lead-in will take you along the flat southern coast road before turning right to head up the Mayan Mountainside KOM. Once you ride through that segment’s banner, the actual Coastal Crown Loop begins.

The loop takes you up the Itza KOM first, then you turn right and zip down the bottom half of The Grade and straight into the heart of Ciudad la Cumbre (“Summit City”). At the bottom, turn right to leave the city via the southern coast road, which takes you through the Acropolis and Stoneway Sprints before a right turn onto the Mayan Mountainside KOM for your final push of the route.

Go hard to the line and you may just grab a polka dot jersey. Allez allez!

I’m super interested to see how pack dynamics will affect groups dropping down that dead straight descent!

(And dang Zwift loves them little loops on climbs.)

Nice one, did it yesterday. But no hill Kom in the companion app..
No so big fan of repetaing parts of the track, but the 2km climb in the end is pretty nice

What is a “lead-in” anyway? Or, put another way, what’s the point of a ‘lead-in’? Until looking at this route, I assumed it was smallish section that leads into a route, but isn’t actually a part of the route. If an event is setup to do 2 laps of this route, it appears from the map that the “lead-in” is part of both laps? The total distance would be be close to 30 miles for 2 laps?

If you did 2 laps of this route then you would do the lead in section (from acropolis sprint to mayan mountain kom banner) 3 times in total.
