Champs-Élysées Lead-In from Start Pens
Route Description
Beginning from the Paris start pens, you’ll go around the Jardin des Tuileries on the east end of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, then head up the Champs, riding through the lap banner, which is the route’s official start and finish line.
You’ll begin the 1.3km Montée des Champs Elysées climb soon enough, with the Lutece Sprint located at its finish. Catch your breath at the top as you ride a full CCW loop around the Arc de Triomphe (the first tiny loop of three), then head north on Avenue de Wagram.
Taking a slight right onto Boulevard de Courcelles, you’ll encounter the second and final sprint segment on this route, the Monceau Sprint (named for Parc Monceau, on your right).
Soon after the park ends, you’ll turn right onto Boulevard Malasherbes and ride the second of our tiny loops, which brings you back onto that same road to travel south to the Madeleine. This plaza constitutes our third and final tiny loop, then you’ll continue south on Rue Royale to rejoin the Champs and finish the route at the lap banner.
