Time Estimates
The Platzerwasel is located in France’s Vosges mountains (near the German border, hence the name) and has been used only a handful of times in the Tour de France.
In 2023 it was featured as the final climb (stage 20) of the Tour, while in 2022’s Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift Annemiek van Vleuten used the climb to seize control of the race.
IRL races up this climb typically carry on further than the top of Zwift’s segment to the flatter summit.
Here’s an IRL segment which cover’s Zwift’s version plus a bit extra at the end:
«Here’s an IRL segment which cover’s Zwift’s version plus a big extra at the end» <- why is the IRL segment 800m shorter, then? Using Veloviewer compare, it’s as if Zwift’s version is stretched.
Do you still achieve the generous xp in the new schedule?
I climbed it today, coming from volcano circuit (not the reverse one). The climb segment doesn’t appear on strava, any thought?
It should match the Strava segment, as long as you completed the whole climb and didn’t at 100% scaling. (50,75, and 125% are all tagged as “gamified” and not matched to Strava segments.)
Hello
Thanks for the answer, i completed it fully at 100% (https://www.strava.com/activities/10788887072 )
Unfortunately, it seems that the segment has been flagged as dangerous : https://www.strava.com/segments/34966223
Strava assistance has solved the problem!
