Workout of the Week

Zwift’s Workout of the Week series will be Watch the Femmes-themed for most of August, with four weeks of workouts featuring different pro women:
- Neve Bradbury’s Aerobic Conditioning: Designed to improve your aerobic conditioning, aka “cardio”, with efforts that will get your heart pumping!
- Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio’s Interval Workout: These on/off intervals boost your aerobic capacity (or cardio) and increase your top-end power, helping with sustained and punchy efforts.
- Kasia Niewiadoma’s Classics Workout: an interval workout designed to boost your power and endurance. Four sets of challenging efforts, beginning with a sprint, settling into a high zone 4 effort, and topping each block off with another sprint. Perfect for climbing and overall strength!
- Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig’s HIIT Workout: a power-boosting interval workout! Two blocks of 20/40s intervals with a nice long recovery in between sets. Perfect for building strength and endurance!
Finish one of these Workout of the Week events to unlock the new 2024 Watch the Femmes Kit! (Completing the WoW on your own as an on-demand workout will not unlock the kit.)

Watch Party Rides

These “second screen” rides start at the same time as the actual race broadcasts, so the idea is that you’ll ride with fellow Zwifters while watching the race on another screen. Chat about race highlights with Zwift friends in real time!
Not sure how to Watch the Femmes from your country? See this page from Zwift.
These are open-paced 120-minute events, and each stage is held on a different route. Finish the ride to unlock the new 2024 Watch the Femmes Kit.

canada left out on the merch again! ARGH!
Lucky you…
Oh finally another spinner event. I’ve been waiting for zwift to start capitalising on the success of the ‘big spin’ one.
That’s an unfortunate line return on my screen, I read ‘plus a chance to win a custom-painted Watch’, but alas no, ‘a custom-painted watch the femmes ride’. All of a sudden my motivation to go up Alpe de Zwift for a billionth time has waned LoL. But I’ll do it all the same. Great work!
I realise that this is probably a stupid question, but I make no apology for that (!) – with the podcast rides, is the idea that we tune into the podcast through Apple podcasts / Spotify etc. and listen to the podcast live at the same time as riding the Zwift event?
The podcast actually plays in-game during the ride.
Thanks
Does completing (1) workout of the week unlock the Watch the Femmes kit or is it unlocked by completing all (4) of the workouts ? I have completed the first workout (Neve Bradbury:aerobic conditioning) but no new kit shows in the garage.
Zwift says finishing 1 workout will unlock the kit. Maybe reach out to support to see what’s up?
Same here! Same Workout of the Week done. No Kit.
I posted a question on Zwift Forum Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift [August 2024] seeking clarification on kit unlock or not when completing a Workout of the Week. Here is the reply I received:
If you just select the Workout of the Week and solo ride it, it will not unlock.
The correct events will have descriptions like this: Pre-Race Podcast Ride – The at Home Cycling & Running Virtual Training App (zwift.com)
Yeah, sounds like you have to do one of the Workout of the Week EVENTS to unlock it. I’ll add that above so it’s clear. Apologies!
Thanks Eric and Bighead Bull for your replies. It kinda stinks because that is not how Zwift initially presented it in all the lead-up and pre-launch. They placed emphasis on the workouts also being available “anytime” and stated that completing a workout (not an “event” workout) unlocked the kit.
I know it’s a game, a virtual jersey and all that, but it’s these little “carrots” that motivate & inject joy into the platform. The world keeps turning, I’ll try to schedule an “in event” workout.
Susan – did you do the workout as a standalone “on-demand” thing? If so, how? I don’t see these workouts available in game, apart from the scheduled events…
Eric, I accessed it on my Home Screen. I will attach a screen shot. Between this issue and an issue I had with the Academy release, I am discouraged and annoyed. I started to share the Academy issue with you, but deleted my message because it was too long and convoluted. Suffice to say, it was a complete “goat-rope”dealing with support and that specific issue.
This issue with the Workout of the Week and kit unlock bred multiple emails from no less than (4) different Support people. They each verified that I had indeed completed the one workout towards kit unlock and my case would be escalated to a specialist. I was told I would be hearing from them. As of 8/12/24 I have received zero contact. You were the first to share this new twist that the workout had to be done “in-Event”.
As I said earlier, the issue revolves around something “virtual”, a pretend jersey. It is inconsequential in many many ways, but there should be some accountability/integrity within the game. Unless I am wrong and totally missed the verbiage… the lead up event emails highlighting the Tour de Femmes, said nothing about a requirement that the Workout of the Week / Watch the Femmes 2024 kit unlock must be completed “in-event”. The one stated and clear requirement was after one workout, the kit would be unlocked.
Thanks for the reply, Susan. Yeah… that’s annoying. Sorry this page wasn’t clearer about the kit requirement… I just communicated what Zwift told me. But I’ve clarified it above now!
Eric, you have no need to apologize. My issues were with Zwift Support. You only recommended that I reach out to them, which I did. I appreciate what you do and the time you put into the Insider. We’re good 😊
Is already known what kind of prices there will be at the “Watch the Femmes – Spinner”?
I took a ride on the Road to Sky today to complete the mission. At the spinner I had already resigned myself to just getting extra XP since I have all 3 items, but to my surprise I got a Watch the Femmes cap. Thought this would only work until August 25th.
