Support App: Bkool Toolkit

Although reviews are less than stellar, the Toolkit app from Bkool is supposed to enable owners to update the firmware on their Bkool trainers. It doesn’t work well/reliably, but it’s your only option apart from contacting Bkool support.

Only works with ANT+Dongle, cannot use with bluetooth, which really isnt an issue as you can get the dongle for 3 bucks online. However I was shocked to see that BKOOL actually misled me by stating that its supported by Zwift in their marketing, which its not. Yes, it does work with Zwift, but that is just a coincidence. I was leading a race and all of a sudden it stopped working with zwift, so disappointing.

Budget-friendly

Cheap but unreliable and can’t be trusted from Steve September 12, 2020

Pros: Cheap and quiet compared to other wheel-on trainers.

Cons: Needs set up to work with ANT+ before it is controllable, very little support from Bkool to do this. No way to calibrate it so cannot trust the power output. Often loses connection or 'sticks' at a power output.

Okay to use for cheap general Zwifting but too unreliable for racing.

Just awful from COWolfe September 9, 2020

Never worked right. Didn't even come with the correct power supply. Zero customer service. Died completely after 3 months of intermittent use.
