Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!
New York’s “The Highline” is aptly named after Manhattan’s “High Line” elevated park, since the route keeps you on the elevated glass roads of Zwift’s futuristic NYC.
This route is fairly tame in terms of total climbing, maintaining a rolling profile except when it takes you over the forward KOM (1.36km, 6.4%) which tops out at 17% grade. But if you’re racing multiple laps of this route, it’s gonna hurt!
Lead-In Notes
This route has one of the funkiest lead-in sections of any Zwift route. When free riding it’s around 5.2km long, with 127m (416′) of climbing, and takes you on roads not covered by the actual route as you make your way up to the NYC KOM banner.
In events your lead-in is even longer (10km) since you have to start from the pens.
The actual route (and our Strava segments) begin at the KOM banner, after the lead-in. When you ride through the KOM banner a second time, you’ve completed one lap of the route.
did route on 5-17-2020 and it was 15.7km
Did the Route 27 May 2020 and it was 15.7km too
I just did it too with these numbers. November 21st 2020. 15.7km.
1/23, had to go about 5km more than the meetup route to get the achievement 15.7km total)
May 21, 2021 15.7km 307m
Zipp 808s or 404s for this? Mainly rolling but a steep climb once a lap?
Your lead in is incorrect also. It was 15.7km
Not a fan of these routes that don’t tell you about the 4 mile lead ins for 6.5 mile course. Is it that hard to estimate the length of the total course and put that in the description?
Most are really close but this route and the Jungle route in Watopia both have 4 mile lead ins for 6 mile course. Big difference riding 10 miles as opposed to 6.
The opening summary states the lead-in is 10k yet the opening paragraph states “This route has one of the funkiest lead-in sections of any Zwift route! It’s around 5km long, with 127m (416′) of climbing, and takes you on roads not covered by the actual route as you make your way up to the NYC KOM banner.”
I rode this route today 30/12/2020 and it was 15.8km in total.
I’ve tried this route several times and never get the badge. Do you have to climb the full KOM twice??
Yes you have to climb the KOM twice, you get the badge at the end of the second climb.
Sadly you have to go under the KOM arch twice.
Man I wish I had read this before trying to get the High-line badge…twice in the last 2 days….now I have to climb that darn KOM 2 more times 🙁
Is that route can be set in event more than 1 lap? Such as 2 laps, 3 laps…
Many comments on length and still no corrections or comments? Had the same experience on the lenght as others have mentioned.
just completed it myself and happy it was just under 10 miles
Further verification that the lead-in must have been reduced. The comments about the lead-in no longer being 10km finally got me to ride this final NYC route. I clocked it last night at 15.8km. The lead-in starts at the NE corner of the park instead of the middle between the two ponds.
