France’s Brittany region isn’t known for epic bike climbs, but it is a cycling-obsessed corner of the world with popular véloroutes and greenways featuring rolling hills and shorter climbs. Mûr-de-Bretagne is arguably the most famous climb in all of Brittany, and is a favorite of race spectators due to its steeper 1.1km lower portion which is arrow-straight, making for great viewing.
This climb was added to Zwift’s Climb Portal to be featured in July 2025 at the same time as the pro men would be racing it in stage 7 of Le Tour. As in recent past tour appearances (2018 and 2021), riders will race up the Mûr-de-Bretagne twice in the finishing circuit of the stage, with the second ascent being the end of the race.
