“Col du Galibier (Valloire)” Details (Zwift Climb Portal)

Key Details

At 2,642 meters, the Col du Galibier regularly serves as the “roof” (highest elevation) of the Tour de France. It’s one of the Tour’s most famous climbs, and thus it’s fitting that this is the second version of the Galibier in Zwift’s climb portal. (The other version, raced in the Tour in 2024, approaches the summit from Lautaret.)

This version begins in Valloire, from the same direction as the TdF pros will race in 2026. The ascent from this direction is the more scenic and difficult approach.

I’m thinking the acquisition was the first step. Maybe good things on the horizon.
