Time Estimates
Located in Italy’s Liguria region, the Cipressa begins in the charming seaside town of San Lorenzo Al Mare and ends in the small commune of Cipressa. While not a particularly steep or long climb, it’s been made famous as a key attack point where sprinters are dropped in the Milan-San Remo classic race. (In fact, all of the top times on the Strava leaderboard were set in recent editions of that race!)
This fairly steady climb averages ~4.2% for the first 5km, then it eases up for the final 1.4km.
Here’s the IRL segment:
Is there still plans to release the climb Super Planche des Belles Filles?
its already released, it just needs to be scheduled again.
Again? Was it ever scheduled? Maybe I’m missed something but I took note of when climbs were scheduled and I never saw it scheduled.
Me neither. It was announce back in the fall, but never released. And I know, because our club has a competition on the climb portal of the month. So far we have it in Ordino (Oct), Rocacorba (Nov), Old La Honda (Dic), Old Willunga Hill (Jan) and Cheddar Gorge (Feb.)
No never been released. I suspect July for TdF.
It’s never been on the calendar or free ride. One I have never ridden.
Not sure if it’s featured since but I had the chance to ride it back when the Portal first launched.
Well, if you say so, I’m not going to say that you are wrong. But, I’ve just checked the Strava segments in both Watopia and France for La Super Planche des Belles Filles, and only one rider appears in each. Maybe you have privileges a a beta tester of new features for Zwift, but as far as concerning the general population it has not been available. As an example, this month Cipresa, on the Wtaopia Strava segment there is only 1 rider, in the French segement, 88 at 8:20 CET.
Is the tt bike the right bike if your doing +4.5 w/kg?
Can we get Mount Hotham added? Only 30km of climbing over 2hours or so!
How do you calculate times vs Wkg? Trying to work out what UAE need to ride it in nine mins.
Well Luke Plapp has his power for the segment at 406W where he set 9:33. His weight is apparently 72kg. So ~5.6Wkg? Bear in mind the real life segment is 5.7km though so 0.7km less than Zwift.
I use bots to test ride then in-game climbs.
Any change of getting Sa Calobra?? be awesome to do it on Zwift and IRL.
Time Estimates are spot on! So nice to see how long I’m going to suffer +/- 2 minutes.
Agreed! I use them as a “time to beat” or more realistically a “time to get as close as possible to” type challenge! 😂
